Create Success by Doing What You Love To Do

There was no doubt that exhaustion had robbed me of joy more times than I could count. Funny thing is, I had no way of knowing until the world stopped in 2020 and the way I approached my daily life was forced to change. But something else happened...

...something I was about to learn from this chance meeting...

Last year I met Marc Allen who has written numerous books on fulfilling your potential in your personal and professional life.

He invited me to be one of his 4 guest speakers at his Summer Academy of Writing and Publishing. I was in heaven/awe! Me? Really?

He's a brilliant author who has published some of the finest authors on the subject, including Eckhart Tolle's first book, The Power of Now, Deepak Chopra's Seven Spiritual Laws of Success, and Shakti Gawain's Creative Visualization.

I didn't know that a speaking event for me would turn into one of the greatest lessons of my life. Marc lives what he writes about and what he publishes. He lives by and shares approaching life in "an easy and relaxed manner."

I don't think I ever really understood what that meant until I began working with him!

He says it's important to affirm "I am now creating success, doing what I love to do, in an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way."

For me, that meant restructuring my daily life so I wasn't running on empty. I stopped setting an alarm (I was curious what time I'd actually wake up... 7:30 am!). Instead of rushing to the gym for an 8:00 am class, I started walking and working out with weights at home. I shifted my approach to business to be able to choose who I wanted to work with and how... and most of all... I learned how to relax... I actually began taking naps!

I could write about this stuff forever... and I do on Medium. com, but for now, I'd love to know if you had a wake-up moment in your life where you realized life was all about work and no relaxation. Might be time to adopt Marc Allen's approach!
