I Am an Admiral's Daughter

I am an Admiral's daughter. When I was young, it was just Dad's job. It wasn't until later in life, I realized the magnitude of my father's accomplishments. He always dreamed big and set his sights on a goal. It never occurred to him that he couldn't accomplish it!

He infused me to believe that we are our thoughts and beliefs. As I was growing up, he made me feel I could become anything I wanted to be!

He was my champion. He held my heart throughout the toughest times of my life. When my son died suddenly at just 16, he would call me every day and sit on the phone with me, even if it was just to cry. He was my biggest cheerleader when I was suddenly a single mom and had to find a new career. If I struggled financially, he would always offer to help, but miraculously his encouragement and business expertise guided me to not need to...

He always believed I was his shining star. Dad died just a few years ago at 90. To this day I can still hear his voice in my head. "Sandy, you got this... don't forget your "ole Dad" has your back." And I know he does.
